Our Orange County office located in Irvine is currently seeking an enthusiastic, high-energy individual with experience in the Construction Industry to join the Assurance & Advisory Department's Construction Industry Practice Group as a Senior Accountant.

Position Requirements: The successful candidate should have experience in: Effective communication with client management to obtain information, understand client procedures and objectives, resolve audit-related problems, and to ensure a positive working relationship and quality customer service.Performing audits, either operational, construction, and or financial audits.Preparing and presenting findings, recommendations and audit reports.Assist in the development and training of staff by delegating tasks and providing guidance and assistance as necessary. Provide upper management with feedback regarding the performance of staff.Encourage a proficient, capable, and team-oriented work environment. Strengthen job-related skills and abilities by acquiring additional certifications and regularly attending professional development and other training sessions.Assist in recruiting efforts as needed. Embody SLGG’s values by adhering to the highest professional and ethical standards.

Minimum Qualifications: At least one third of their time spent serving Construction Contractor clients. At least three (3) years experience in public accounting, demonstrating a progression in complexity of auditing and accounting tasks and tax knowledge.Bachelor’s degree in accounting, or Master’s degree in accounting. Either hold a current and valid CPA’s license, or be working toward obtaining the license by taking and passing the applicable state CPA exam. Thorough knowledge of premium audit procedures, policies and classifications.Excellent organizational, communication, and client service skills.A commitment to teamwork and leadership.
