Senior Accountant

Job Purpose:

The Lead Senior Accountant is expected to analyze, research, and record significant accounting transactions and prepare a treatment memo describing the transaction and accounting treatment.  In addition, the accountant should assist in the month/quarterly close process and in the quarterly/annual review and audit process.  Finally, the accountant is expected to use their knowledge of GAAP to research and communicate findings with minimal supervision.

Duties:

·         Analyze and record significant accounting transactions and prepare a treatment memo describing the transaction and accounting treatment.

·         Analyze and research technical accounting treatment as needed.

·         Review and approval of wires.

·         Able to effectively coordinate tasks with other departments.

·         Assist in the monthly and quarterly close processes by reviewing journal entries and preparing detailed fluctuation analysis.

·         Prepare schedules to support financial reporting.

·         Prepare and update control matrix, narrative, and flowchart related to respective SCOTs for SOX requirements.

·         Assist in the quarterly and annual review and audit process.

·         Perform all other duties as assigned
