Position: Senior Accountant/Financial Analyst

Duration:  Direct Hire

Job Description:

Primary focus will be complete responsibility financial statements for Joint Venture Company including:

  - Preparation of Journal entries

  - Preparation and/or review of Billings

  - Preparation and/or review of Purchase Orders

  - Cost and Variance Analysis

  - Financial Statement preparation and results commentary

  - Upload of financials into company's corporate reporting system

  - Interface with both company and partner's senior management to obtain information, present financial results and respond to inquiries

  - Respond to inquiries from corporate finance group

  - Preparation of all Audit and SOX compliance schedules related to above

  - Financial liaison between Microsoft and the company

  - Monitor A/R and collections

  - Monitor A/P processing

 

Additional responsibilities to include (s time permits):

  - Assist with cost and variance analysis for Camarillo site and for all North America replication manufacturing activity.

  - Assist with Blu-Ray accounting and cost analysis

  - Assist with Intercompany activity

  - Assist with Revenue reporting and analysis

  - Assist with Audit and Sox compliance

  - Other special projects and duties as assigned

 

Qualifications & Experience:

 

- 5-7 years work experience in both general ledger and cost/inventory accounting, at least 3 years of which should have been in a Manufacturing environment. 

- Candidate should have strong general ledger experience and specific experience in cost and inventory accounting/analysis.

- Working knowledge of Peachtree is preferred.

- Working knowledge of Hyperion and experience working in a large company environment would be beneficial.

- Candidate must be very “hands on” and able to multi task; must have good communication skills including ability to interface with senior management and can work well in a cross-functional, team environment. 

- Supervisory experience a plus.

 

Education:

- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or relevant major, CPA a plus.
