SENIOR ACCOUNTANT, GROWTH OPPORTUNITY: Senior Accountant needed due to our continued growth.  We are seeking a career minded up and coming Senior Accountant.  The Senior Accountant will play a critical role in our Corporate Accounting department.

GENERAL RESPONSIBLITIES:

The Senior Accountant will be responsible for analyzing business unit performance and providing accurate financial reporting.  Assist management in establishment of variance analysis, forecast and budget procedures and processes.  Previous experience in CPA firm or large private company is preferred.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:Prepares analysis of monthly, quarterly and annual operating results and general ledger accounts for consistency and accuracy.  Analyses include all business units, foreign subsidiaries and joint ventures.  Appraises operating results in terms of trends, comparisons to budget, prior periods etc. · Assists with monthly/quarterly/annual financial closings.Assists management to provide outside accounting firm(s) with accurate and timely information and assist in any review/audit issue resolution. Assists on preparation of periodic forecasts and annual capital and operating budgets.  Collects, reviews and necessary supporting documentation and justification from respective departments. Maintains fixed asset records and reviews monthly for accuracy and proper account classification. Represents the company, as appropriate, in its relationships with major customers, suppliers, trade groups, financial community, government agencies and outside auditors.

 REQUIREMENTS:Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting.3 to 5 years of accounting, financial, audit and/or reporting experience with increasing responsibilities.  CPA license is a huge plus.Knowledge/Skills/Abilities (i.e. communication, organizational, software, technical)
