Senior Accountant - Investment & Reporting
Summary: This position is responsible for monitoring, documenting, and providing supporting financial information related to all company investment activity. Essential Functions:To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily:Perform asset and transaction activity reconciliations between reports from Investment Managers, Custody Banks and General Ledger. Research and resolve any discrepancies.Monitor trading activity and liquidity position of investment accounts. Monitor issuer limits and work with state regulators to ensure compliance.Monitor trust accounts and maintain appropriate funding levels.Assist with coordinating any income or cash flow projections related to investments.Review calculation of custody fees and deduction of such fees from appropriate accounts.Coordinate investment performance measurement and reporting.Assist with preparation of Investor & Board meeting reports.Manage monthly interface from Custody Bank to EPS and export from EPS to General Ledger.Reconcile Schedule D and E from EPS to General Ledger. Prepare annual statutory reports as required.Assist with the preparation of GAAP financial statement and supporting footnotes.Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:Advanced computer knowledge including, but not limited to, MS office products.Strong math skills.Strong analytical skills and the ability to pay attention to details.Ability to maintain the highest level of confidentiality with all information received.Ability to work independently to carry out assignments.Education, Training and Experience:Bachelor’s degree in accounting. Five to eight years of progressive experience in insurance accounting and reporting.Ability Resources ofers competitive salaries and benefits.
