Senior Accountant

Valley Forge Military Academy and College (VFMAC) a non profit, educational institution located in Wayne, PA is seeking an experienced Senior Accountant with a solid background in the non profit sector with Fund Accounting experience being essential.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to, maintenance of General Ledger accounts, assistance with external audits, bank and other account reconciliations. Prepare monthly payroll and benefits entries, record activity for and reconcile monthly bank statements. Arrange monthly cash flow for CFO. Maintain fund accounting for temporarily restricted and permanently restricted funds; organize year end schedules for external auditors of endowment activity, pledges and contributions receivable and charitable remainder trusts. Assist with annual in processing of Cadets. Assist Controller with projects as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education: Bachelors Degree required in Accounting or Finance with a minimum of two years experience in non profit accounting.
