More About Your Role Since ours is an evolving environment, some of your key challenges are to figure out and develop new processes, as well as understand our business and the nuances of our existing systems. You'll be able to "zoom in" to learn about our organization at a granular level, and then "zoom out" again to a strategic level to analyze and see opportunities. You'll position yourself as a positive catalyst for change, realizing that the perceived challenges during a period of transformation can also be opportunities to put your distinctive "stamp" on the way things are done, and create new practices. Assuming full P&L responsibility, you will divide your attention among four main areas: Ensure accounting operations run smoothly; oversee our monthly, quarterly, and annual accounting requirements, including monthly close; accounts payable; accounts receivable; reconciliations; budget analysis; revenue forecasting; tax reporting; and payroll. Ensure your peer senior leaders have the strategic information necessary to make decisions and develop strategy. Identify and implement accounting systems and processes. Prepare for and oversee internal and external audits. Keys to Success To excel in this role you will take a leadership approach to being the voice of finance in our company, sharing your expertise and engaging in constructive "back-and-forth" conversations with other leaders. In addition, in order to be an outstanding Senior Accountant, you will: Take the initiative to identify opportunities, through your analyses, and bring them to the attention of the rest of the senior leadership team.
