Senior Accountant and Finance Manager

We are seeking a Senior Accountant and Finance Manager with Public Accounting experience helpful.

Duties include: Client accounting and treasury. Planning, directing and coordinating all accounting operational functions. Managing the accumulation and consolidation of all financial data necessary for an accurate accounting of consolidated business results. Coordinating and preparing internal and external financial statements. Coordinating activities of external auditors. Responsible for presenting monthly financial statements to upper management. Providing management with information vital to the decision-making process. Assessing current accounting operations, offering recommendations for improvement and implementing new processes. Evaluating accounting and internal control systems. Overseeing regulatory reporting. Responsible for preparation and maintenance of monthly budgets. Responsible for performing analysis of budgeted versus actual results which will be reviewed with the management team. Responsible for interacting with management team in an effort to better manage costs on a project by project basis. Responsible for cash management functions which include overseeing accounts payable, accounts receivable and payroll functions. Responsible for monitoring banking and creditor relations and communicating with these individuals on a regular basis. Collaborate and communicate with holding company.

Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree in accounting. Strong communication skills with the ability to interact well with all members of management and accounting staff. Public Accounting experience helpful. Some private company experience a plus. Ability to understand automated accounting systems within a high transactional volume business (a sound understanding of data and technology systems a must). Ability to work with minimal amount of day to day supervision.
