Senior Accounts Payable

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Research and answer questions from internal and external customers/vendors.

Verify that expenditures are approved and enter invoices into the system.

Process weekly check run, and ensure checks are mailed out Fridays.

Maintain bank draws (limited).Make weekly bank deposits.

Book corporate journal entries, assisting senior accountants in their entries of routine processes (payroll, management fees, health benefits reimbursements).

Review corporate bank recs to ensure cash is booked timely.

Oversee AP staff, i.e.- assisting in questions regarding AP and deposits.

Address requests from sites for postage, expense reimbursements and other expenditures.

Communicate effectively with department heads, site managers and outside vendors.

Maintain download of daily Sitelink information.

Monthly reports, including Protection Plan income reporting, and other ad hoc reports as needed.SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

Lead the AP staff.  Will be expected to give direction to staff and also answer questions.QUALIFICATIONS

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each primary duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

Minimum two years in the AP field.  Supervisory experience is a plus.  Microsoft office, especially Excel is required.  Understanding of basic accounting entries. MRI accounting software experience is a plus.
