We are currently seeking an experienced Senior Billing Specialist to join our accounting team in Cambridge, MA. This position is responsible for all aspects of client billing, including the printing, distribution and approval of draft invoices, processing edits/transfers, preparation of final bills. The ideal candidate will have professional services billing experience as well as proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite.
Responsibilities:
Monthly invoicing, including customer maintenance, invoice edits/creation Prepare and deliver client invoices within required deadlines Work with internal customers at all levels to obtain billing approvals/ resolve billing issues Prepare account reconciliations, budget worksheets Ensure client billing rates are being invoiced according to the contract Manage staff time entry, follow up missing time Train new employees on account system- entering time, expenses and purchase orders Assist in the coordination of Sarbanes Oxley requirements and financial controls Handle research requests for detail/documentation as needed. Protects revenue through timely billing and by resolving invoice disputes
Required Skills and Qualifications:
2+ years invoicing experience 2+ years experience working with an integrated accounting system Excellent written, verbal and organization skills required Strong attention to detail and accuracy a must Ability to consistently meet deadlines while multi-tasking Good MS Office and interpersonal skills required Willingness to learn in a fast paced environment Bachelor's Degree in business administration, accounting or related field
