Job Summary:

Under the direction of the Manager of Business Analysis, the Senior Business Analyst (Senior BA) is assigned as the lead Business Analyst with responsibility for coordinating project tasks related to gathering business requirements as well as the definition and implementation of technology-related business process improvements. The Senior BA coordinates project activities with Borrower Services Departments (BOS), the Information Services Division, and other ASA divisions (as needed).  The Senior BA is assigned responsibility to gather and document business requirements, perform business process analysis, and evaluate the feasibility of system and process-related enhancements. The Senior BA is also responsible for reviewing requirements created by Business Analysts and ensuring that they are complete prior to submission to the BOS department for sign-off. 

Essential Functions:Identify, evaluate, and resolve technology-related business process issues.  Evaluate system enhancements requested by a BOS department to determine feasibility, define requirements, and support implementation.  Collaborate with BOS department or information technology development resources on conceptualization of issues and project definition.Lead or coordinate medium to large size business analysis projects with limited supervision. Coordinate meetings, tasks, testing and schedules related to business requirements gathering efforts for project level initiatives. Review requirements completed by Business Analysts and ensure they are functionally complete prior to submission to the BOS department for sign-off.  Work closely with the BOS department manager and/or project manager to ensure acceptance on business requirements. Advise the Manager of Business Analysis on the implications of reported business problems or enhancements on data, business processes and/or systems. Assist in the prioritization, development, testing and implementation of proposed improvements.  Prepare accurate, comprehensive and concise documentation that includes problem definition, proposed solution, detailed requirements, outstanding issues, and recommended implementation approach.  Creates business process flowcharts and/or diagrams to support process changes and system enhancements.

Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience is required.5+ years of experience performing business process analysis, business requirements evaluation and documentation. Experience with iterative and/or agile software development methodology and understanding of all stages of the software development life cycle. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications required.Experience using SQL highly desired; ability to pass a proficiency exam in the use of Structured Query Language (SQL) is required.
