Senior Business Analyst for a Top Notch Company

RESPONSIBILITIESBusiness Requirements Analysis:1) Translate high level business needs into business requirements using structured project methodology2) Conduct and lead requirements review sessions, and process analysis walkthroughs. Determine and advise on options, risks, costs versus benefits, and impact on other business processes and system priorities.3) Work with software development teams and assist/guide developers with clarifications and information on requirements4) Work with QA team to develop test cases and test data5) Execute system tests and validate product feature and function vis-à-vis requirements6) Direct engagement Requirements Must have 5-7 years of financial experience with a minimum of 3 years of cost accounting Should have extensive experience in cost accounting in a manufacturing environment, including a thorough understanding of material costs; monthly variance analysis and closing responsibilities, exposure and / management of the annual standard cost development process Proven knowledge, both broad and deep, of financial processes and associated application of technology for creation and enhancement of value-added end-user capabilities Project experience involving a major cost accounting system implementation, including G/L, with a manufacturing/supply-chain organization Experience with creating business requirements documentation for software product development and product implementations Experience in software product development B.S / B.A required, MBA and / or CPA a plus   If you would like to be considered for this role please submit your resume to Caroline Kaplan, carolinekaplan@spherion.com or contact Caroline directly at 610-337-1113    Built on more than 30 years of expertise, The Mergis Group is a specialty recruiting firm committed to helping professionals make the best career choices.
