CITY/STATE: Petaluma, CA 94952POSITION TYPE: Full Time, EmployeeJOB CATEGORY: Accounting/Finance/InsuranceEDUCATION LEVEL: Some College Coursework Completed Senior Collection Rep     Summary of Position:Provide technical assistance to the Credit/Accounts Receivable Department by performing collections on all past due accounts, analyzing credit reports for the purpose of extending credit & setting credit limits, and assisting with payment reconciliation. Major Responsibilities:1. Responsible for collection of large retail distributor accounts.2. Coordinate collections on smaller balance accounts and work with Credit & Collections Supervisor when necessary.3. Review problem accounts with Credit Manager on a regular basis.4. Perform cash application and reconciliation of payments from customers. Ensure proper back-up paperwork, coding, and input of customer claims.5. Approve daily order reports. Hold orders based on overdue status and report to Credit Manager.6. Perform account reconciliation and adjustments on customer accounts.7. Coordinate and maintain daily department filing needs. Perform year-end transition of files to warehouse archive. 8. Assist manager in strategic development and implementation of Accounts Receivable Department  goals; continually learn to improve quality of work.9. Perform duties according to Avalon’s health and safety standards. Maintain a safe and efficient work environment.10.  Perform other duties as assigned. Job Requirements:Skills:Strong word-processing and spreadsheet, Navision Software, MAS200, analytical, effective verbal and written communications, data entry, computer, time management, work well as part of a team.Knowledge:Strong computerized AR systems processing and procedures, shipping compliance and wholesale distribution and billing practices.Degrees/Certificates:N/AJob Experience:2-4 years wholesale customer claims and Accounts Receivable processing.
