Senior Cost Accountant

Our client has a very exciting opportunity to step in as a Senior Cost Accountant you will be working for a diversified manufacturer of sophisticated electronic and electromechanical systems for the military and commercial markets. 

 .

 

 Responsibilities:

 

 

 Download general ledger activities for all non-payroll expenses globally

 Analyze and assess if the they follow the allocation methodologies established

  Investigate actual invoices paid and work collaboratively for pulling invoices

 Analyze and review allocations

  Talk daily with the cost controller on the status, activities, and work plan

Assist in preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual reports

 

Cost Accountant Essential Functions:

 

Senior Cost Accountant must be able to perform the duties of the job.

 2-7 years experience in an cost accounting role

  Must be detail oriented and have the ability to work independently.

  Ability to operate computer system and effectively input pertinent information.

  Ability to use and gain sufficient knowledge of computer software currently utilized by the Company.

Ability to effectively listen to co-workers and respond to their requests.

Ability to travel between floors and buildings in order to effectively communicate all project assignments.

Ability to understand and communicate in English, both verbally and written.
