Senior Cost Accountant - Irvine, CA

In the role of Senior Cost Accountant,you will provide your team and peers with opinions, new ideas, andcontribute as a technical resource to others within our functions. Youwill enhance processes and improve overall service delivered tobusiness units.  Your goal will be to ensure the financial integrity of worldwide fixed assets for multiple companies.

 

As a Senior Cost Accountant reporting to the U.S. controller, you will be involved in and responsible for: Balance sheet and expense account analysis Providing recommendations on cost saving measures Performing analysis of assigned accounts. Performing actual versus budget analyses. Analyzing cost of goods sold variance accounts for each month and prepare reports. Reconciling perpetual versus general ledger inventory balances on a monthly basis. Directly communicate with internal departments. 

 

To qualify for this position, you must possess: Strong Oracle skills preferred Bachelor's degree in Finance/Accounting; CPA preferred. Minimum five years of general accounting under a high volume, international, large company environment or three years in public accounting. Advanced PC skills, specifically strong Word and Excel (pivot tables, macros, etc.) skills. Ability to write reports, business correspondence and procure manuals. Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.  Ability to deal with problem involving several concrete variables.
