PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITY:

 

Assist relationship managers in servicing their commercial loan portfolios; obtain, analyze and evaluate financial and operating information in undertaking the preparation of credit analysis.  Insure that all loan requests meet loan policy requirements.  Work closely with commercial relationship managers (RM) to prepare credit presentations that serve as the basis for approval of all commercial credit relationships.

 

PRIMARY DUTIES:Analyze financial statements of all levels of quality to develop an initial assessment of identifying strengths and weaknesses, as it pertains to a borrower’s historical operating performance as well as a concurrence as to loan approval, denial and alternative structures to the commercial relationship managersWorking with RMs, develop appropriate information for credit presentations to process renewals, extensions and new business requests.  This includes, but not limited to, developing information on affiliated debt and relationships, preparation of the loan credit presentation sheet, developing data for the collateral analysis, and analyzing financial data.Concur with RM as to the yield and risk analysis, guarantor personal cash flow analysis through analyzing personal tax returns and personal financial statements and financial projections for transactions.Review loan documentation file prior to presenting loan requests to appropriate loan committee to ensure that collateral meets approval requirements.  Prepare written commercial loan analysis in a concise but complete format identifying major trends, issues and risks for presentation to loan committeeReview loan policy manual to insure that loans presented to loan committee meet bank policy requirements.  Note any policy exceptions in the credit presentation.Assist RMs in obtaining necessary financial information from clients.Performs detailed annual file reviews in preparation for external independent loan review.Assist in developing new procedures and improvements to the credit process.Perform Loan Reviews of loans outside the scope of the external independent loan reviewer.All other duties as assigned

 

SKILLS AND OTHER SPECIFICS:Demonstrated analytical and verbal/written communication skills.Minimum 5 years credit underwriting experience.Preferably a minimum of 4 year college degree in a business related discipline (or equivalent banking experience).Proven organization & self-motivation skills.Detail Oriented, Conscientious, Customer Confidentiality and Efficient Work Habits.Able to multi-task in a high paced work environment.Demonstrated PC literacy (MS Word, Excel, Outlook.Proven skills and experience (or aptitude) in the following areas:
