Senior External Reporting Manager  General Summary: The Pepsi Bottling Group, Inc. Reporting to the Senior Director of Financial Reporting, this individual will be responsible for the external reporting disclosures filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) for the company. In addition, he or she will manage audit committee process and oversee the intangible asset impairment review process.  This individual will actively work with PBG’s business unit and functional leaders, and will serve as the key determinate of the accounting treatment for various issues and transactions.  In addition, the selected candidate will partner with business unit finance teams to continue to raise the standard of the finance organization world-wide.  Given the role and its responsibilities, the successful candidate must be an experienced and poised manager with broad and deep understanding of key accounting principles issued by the SEC and the Financial Accounting Standards Board (FASB).  This position requires a high degree of technical accounting knowledge and judgment gained from experience with the Big Four and applied in a large corporate environment.  Major Tasks, Key Responsibilities and Key Accountabilities: Prepare SEC filings — MD&A, financial statements and footnotes Ensure compliance with FASB, SOX, SEC and PCAOB regulations and related technical application Oversee the annual intangible asset impairment review Support the preparation of the financial statements, participate in the review of all financial press releases and analyst presentations, and ensure all non-GAAP disclosures are in accordance with SEC regulations Manage and coordinate entire audit committee process.  Working directly with the corporate controller and the functional leadership team of tax, internal audit, planning, investor relations, treasury and external audit Assist with improving SOX controls and supporting the documentation and review process associated with internal controls Coordinate requests with the external/internal auditors and manage the flow of information and documentation Gather, evaluate and document business information for 10-K and other investor communications Assist with the Company’s debt and equity offerings Benchmark best practices of external reporting  Basic Job Qualifications: CPA Minimum of 7 years of professional experience Experience at a Senior Manager / Manager level with a “Big 4” firm or 5 years in public accounting Internal controls assessment experience Strong background and understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles and Generally Accepted Audit StandardsPreferred Job Qualifications: Minimum of 3 years of relevant industry experience with a multi-national publicly held company in a senior leadership role in finance or accounting Ability to handle multiple priorities Excellent organizational skills Ability to interact with all levels of management Team player with ability to work with a variety of internal and external clients in a consultative role, and establish and maintain productive relationships Proven ability to analyze financial data and ensure accuracy and consistency of data across multiple filings Excellent written and verbal communication skills
