Senior Financial Analyst
The FP&A group plays an instrumental role in the management, analysis, and reporting of LPL Financial's financial information and in the overall financial decision making for all of its legal entities including separate companies and acquisitions. This team is integrally involved in Strategic and General Financial Analysis, including everything from mergers and acquisition analysis to platform/product pricing & profitability studies to cost-benefit/return on investment (ROI) evaluations. Specific Responsibilities would include, but not be limited to the following: o Finance integration support for designated broker/dealers that LPL has acquired to date. This would involve pricing and profitability analyses, comparisons across broker/dealers, financial metric gathering, and working directly with individuals at the designated site locations to further analyze business performance and recommend changes. o Finance Project support, including all financial modeling and analysis integral to the success of assigned projects. o Business Financial support including everything from monthly financial review with business partners, to budget to actual analysis, to budget cycle planning support. o General Analysis including a wide range of corporate finance type analyses such as Return on Investment (ROI), cost-benefit, NPV, Discounted Cash Flow, as well as ad-hoc analyses, and financial research. o Experience with Mergers & Acquisitions and/or acquisition integration is a plus. - Qualified candidates will have a BA/BS degree in Accounting, Finance or Economics. -5 or more years of direct finance work experience is desired and Financial Services industry experience is a huge plus, especially broker/dealer experience. - Proficiency in Accounting is necessary and database experience is a plus. - Strong computer skills, be proficient in Excel. -Requires strong communication and project management skills and the ability to multi-task. -Strong quantitative and organizational skills along with a thorough understanding of financial statements and modeling concepts are required. -Candidate must possess the ability to interact effectively with all levels of management and operations. -Strong attention to detail is critical. -The ability to take complex factors and create concise and decision supporting analysis is essential. -Candidate must be self-motivated and a solid team player.
