Senior Financial Analyst



Company Information:  Fortune 500 global manufacturer and distributor.  Location:  Chicago-North Suburb.

 

Position Information:  The Senior Financial Analyst will collaborate to ensure the collection of accurate and timely financial data and the accurate consolidation of that information.  The position will also provide analysis of key accounts for senior management as well as have the responsibility for maintaining control of the Hyperion data.

 

Responsibilities:

 Participate in the analytical activities and monthly reporting in areas including: consolidation, compilation, analysis and presentation of results to senior management.Maintain compliance with corporate policy standards and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).Compile and analyze reporting subjects including volume, revenue, margin, competition and share, and key cost drivers.Assist in the quarterly reporting process, including the analysis to support the earnings release.Execute any restatements of prior year financials in response to business changes.Manage the accuracy of Hyperion data.Assist in ad-hoc projects and analysis.

 Requirements:

 BS in Accounting or Finance, required.  CPA, preferred.  MBA, a plus.Minimum of 3 - 5 years of relevant experience, required.  Public accounting, SEC experience, a plus.Strong verbal and written communication skills, required.Ability to multitask and prioritize under time limitations, required.Excellent analytical and systems skills, required -- Hyperion, HFM, preferred.Working proficiency of Microsoft Office Suite.Team player, flexible, drive for results, superior execution, required.
