Senior Financial Analyst - Investment Portfolio

Senior Financial Analyst - Flexible hours and/or Part timeOur client is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to assist in ongoing portfolio management and transaction support for a $700+ million venture portfolio.  The analyst will be an integral part of the process for follow on investments and realizations in the portfolio.Responsibilities include: Assist and facilitate pre closing processes and internal deal related documentation Act as central point of contact between Investment Professionals, deal counsel and portfolio counsel, portfolio company CEO/CFO, transfer agents, internal and external auditors and cash & custody management Prepare investment memos, obtain appropriate management approvals, coordinate corporate actions such as proxies, amendments, shareholder votes, dissolutions, etc. Facilitate portfolio valuation process and documentation during semi-annual review of investments Produce weekly portfolio management pipeline report, monthly portfolio status reports Respond to ad hoc reporting requests Skills include: Able to accurately and completely capture key accounting information for valuation events, conversions, liquidations, etc and communicate this information Ability to understand capitalization tables and waterfall/liquidation analysis required; the ability to create or model these schedules independently a plus Able to understand summarized financial statements of portfolio companies and include relevant financial data in internal reports Able to understand the important points of legal documents as they relate to investments and realizations, i.e. stock purchase agreements and sale agreements Confidence to interact effectively with senior portfolio company management required Good Deductive thinker- able to reconstruct investment history from years of collected accounting data/transactions across multiple entities Ability to work and make decisions with limited supervision at times Highly proficient in Excel Team player and self starter Excellent written skills Accountants Inc. is an equal opportunity employer.
