Senior Financial Analyst - Patient Financial Services Req. # 61167Position Description To enhance the reporting and trending capability of PFS management in order to run the business more efficiently making use of quality, consistent data. Position Responsibilities The Patient Financial Services Sr. Financial Analyst performs a variety of general healthcare financial and systems support activities. The analyst is responsible to extrapolate data and create meaningful reporting for PFS leadership. This includes reports related to key metrics for running the business, as well as ad hoc reports. • Performs analysis of revenue cycle functions• Reconciles daily cash posted and creates daily reports as well as trending reports• Interfaces with PFS leaders regarding PFS cash position – tracking and reporting cash position – prepares draft presentations for leadership•Completes projects as assigned, for example: - Revenue/ claim reporting that takes into account days’ receivable - Aging reports - Tracking related to problematic payors• Creates developmental reporting• Reviews manual reporting methods and determines ways to automate• Systematizes ad hoc reporting• Other duties related to PFS financial reporting and data as assigned• The successful candidate will be a team player, detail oriented, understands financial reporting and has strong interpersonal and communication skills Basic Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree Minimum 5 years’ financial analyst experience required (with 3 years of that experience in healthcare setting).Experience with revenue cycle functions and accounting for a healthcare organization.Strong technical and analytical skills include proficiency with MS Excel and Access.Demonstrated ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.Effective verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
