Senior Financial Business Analyst
POSITION SUMMARYThe Senior Financial Business Analyst understands customer data needs and translates them into useful reporting products for the end user community.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILTIES-Deliver business reports from data leveraging Excel pivot tables or models, Access, or business intelligence tools. -Understand customer data needs and translate into useful reporting products for the end user community. -Interact with end users and business sponsors using verbal and written communication skills. -Interpret meaning and relevance from raw data. -Perform detailed business analysis. -Document business and functional requirements. -Develop end user documentation. -Write and execute test plans and cases. -Answer user questions and resolve system issues/problems in a timely manner. -Adhere to the highest degree of professional standards and strict confidentiality in matters that require discretion. -Attend professional development and training sessions on a regular basis. -Perform other job-related duties as necessary.QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS-Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or Economics. -5+ years of experience working with financial systems. -Experience in working or analyzing the professional service industry. -Experience in internal and operation financial reporting -Basic SQL skills, and familiarity with relational databases is highly desirable. -Experience in a team effort to rollout a new application or complete a significant upgrade desired. -Experience with business requirements gathering and documentation. -Experience in quality testing data desired. -Experience with using Crystal Reports, WEBi, CMS, Lawson a plus. -High level of proficiency in Word, Excel, Access, Visio. -Strong analytical background. -Ability to interact in teams and and work independently with limited oversight. -Interest and aptitude to engage directly with end-customers. -Ability to quickly grasp business needs and issues -Ability to multi-task and prioritize; successfully manage multiple projects of different size and types. -Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills. -Good time management skills. -Strong, professional presence. -Excellent project management and customer service skills. -Ability to work additional hours as needed.
