Job Description  Oracle CorporationSenior G/L Accountant  Overview: Working in the recently formed M&A Corporate Accounting function, this role will be instrumental is directly responsible for the accuracy of the Purchase Accounting set of books, timeliness of the monthly close process of acquired entities, and compliance with GAAP and SOX controls.  Primary Responsibilities Include:  Prepare, upload, post and consolidate journal entries regarding the purchase accounting set of books Perform Account Reconciliations, update Schedules and monthly activities ensuring the balances are in agreement with the GL. Perform and prepare manual intercompany reconciliations Participate in balance sheet review from acquired companies Assist the external reporting group in footnotes disclosure related to M&A for timely SEC filing Liaising with Corporate Consol, M&A Regional Controllers, Tax and country controllers on matters involving acquisition accounting Working with cross-functional partners to resolve accounting issues pertaining to M&A activity Participate in SOX testing Preferred Qualifications:  Oracle 11i G/L experience Advanced Excel and Access experience Attention to detail and accuracy Strong internal control focus Hands on experience with consolidation function of large, mutli-national complex organizations Strong interpersonal skills, including verbal and written communication Innovative and flexible approach to problem solving, with a focus on continuous improvement Great attitude and ability to work in a fast-paced environment Results-oriented and ability to thrive in a deadline driven environment BS degree in Accounting§ 5+ years public/private experience, CPA preferred Process:Interested candidates may e-mail resumes directly to Oracle Corporation Recruiting for immediate consideration, amanda.morgan@oracle.com   As part of Oracle's standard employment process, candidates will undergo a complete background check prior to an offer being extended.
