Prepares various M-1's as part of the federal income tax compliance process. Also will take the lead on the federal income tax compliance for some of our newly acquired companies. Also prepares state income tax returnsEssential Skills:Prepares M-1's after a detailed account analysis. Prepares various statements and schedules which are part of the federal income tax return. Will take the lead on some of our newly acquired companies from a tax compliance perspective including stub returns and transition coordination. In addition, prepares state income tax adjustments for the state income tax returns. Prepares workpapers for the state apportionment factors. Prepares state income tax returns through Corptax software. Performs tax research and tax planning through out the year for income taxes. Assists on the quarterly FIN 48 analysis and the tax provision. Prepares schedules supporting the aforementioned tax accounting tasks. Performs special tax projects as assigned by the Assistant Tax Director and the Tax Managers, as needed. Qualifications:BS in Accounting. Experience within a Tax Department of a major company with practical hands on experience. Team member with the ability to work with various people. Excellent organizational skills.
