Senior Manager, Income Tax

Our client, a $1+ billion public company, is seeking a Senior Manager for its Income Tax department. This position will report to the Director, Tax Reporting and Compliance.    Responsibilities: Responsible for managing and maintaining the process of timely and accurately accounting for, and reporting of, income taxes under FAS 109 for a multi-national publicly traded company Manage the preparation of the federal and state income tax returns along with estimated tax payments and extensions Monitor, research, analyze and implement existing rules and regulations relating to accounting and reporting of income taxes Manage special projects such as review, implementation and maintenance of tax accounting changes arising from newly enacted legislation or regulatory developments Prepare tax expense, tax balance sheet and effective tax rate analysis information for SEC reporting, internal reporting, forecasting and Board of Director presentationsRequirements: Bachelor's degree in Accounting (Masters in Taxation or Accounting preferred) 5-10 years experience in a combination of major CPA firm and corporate tax accounting experience in a publicly held corporation CPA Exceptional written and verbal communication skills Leadership capacity to resolve complex problems within a cross-functional environment
