Senior Manager of Financial Planning & Analysis

Responsible for coordination of the planning, forecast and budget processes.  This includes meeting with senior management, department directors and managers, as well as accounting staff assisting with the budgeting/forecasting/planning. Directs the competitive financial analysis process and reviews historical trends in performance vs. budget to determine appropriate future steps for the company.

 

Prepare appropriate system tools to facilitate budget and forecast processes.  This individual is responsible for determining variances to budget.

 

Performs job duties consistent with safety, legal, and regulatory requirements; company standards, culture, and business practices.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Manage the preparation of annual operating plans, budgets and forecasts for Board of Directors, senior management and all departments, ensuring staff review for accuracy and compliance with corporate guidelines

Identify areas for strategic opportunity and communicate to senior management.

Advise, educate, and serve as a resource for departmental fiscal officers and senior management on budget and financial issues.

Communicate significant operating budget variances to senior management for appropriate action.

Responsible for systems administration associated with Oracle/Hyperion or other ERP tools as appropriate for a budget/forecast process.

Attend team meetings with all departments, providing insight and knowledge regarding financial operating activity.

Manage staff and ensuring timeliness.

Develop and mentor staff including but not limited to hiring, performance appraisals, promotions, and transfers.

Assist with Sarbanes Oxley 404 compliance, documentation and testing

Assisting sales and operational organization with analysis of return on investment for capital investments. 

Assist with the development of financial models to provide analysis for new product deployment.  Provide the organization with business case analysis to assist with managerial decisions.

Additional Duties:


Perform special projects and other related duties as assigned. Contribute to corporate and department activities and programs by accomplishing related tasks as needed.



Education and Experience:

In order to accomplish the essential duties of this position, the incumbent must have a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance, and approximately 8 years of relevant experience.

• Ability to prioritize, meet deadlines and maintain flexibility in a service-oriented environment
• Experience with consolidated corporate budget development process and ERP system tools.
• Outstanding research and analytical skills.

• Exceptional technical skills, analytical capabilities and attention to detail

• Superior planning and communication (verbal and written) skills.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office: Word, Access, Outlook; Advanced skills in Excel (pivot tables, merges, macros, statistical formulas).
Experience with Oracle and Hyperion
