Job Title: Senior Manager of Financial Reporting

Summary

The position will be primarily responsible for all internal and external reporting requirements. This includes all internal financial statements and analysis and SEC reporting required. In addition, this position will be responsible for assisting with the implementation of an ERP solution as well as the implementation of a BI (business intelligence) solution.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

·  Interface with sales, marketing, R&D, operations and finance in order to gain an understanding of the business which will allow for better performance in conceptualizing and compiling analyses to assist in measuring and benchmarking the Company

·  Possess strong analytical skills and the ability to design and deliver relevant, actionable analyses to various departments;

·  Manage and develop a staff of three individuals;

·  Lead and monitor the preparation of the monthly internal reporting packages to the Executive Team and Board of Directors;

·  Lead and monitor the preparation, drafting, tie down and coordination of the Company’s external filings with the SEC. the disclosures required in the external financial statement filings,

·  Ensure all internal and external reporting complies with GAAP and is accurate and timely;

·  Assist in the documentation and continuous review of financial reporting processes and controls in relation to the Sarbanes Oxley 302 and Section 404 efforts;

·  Communicate effectively with all levels of management and other personnel; including attorneys, auditors and vendors;

·  Assist in performing accounting research to ensure all external financial reporting complies with applicable rules, guidelines and best practices; and

·  Undertake special projects including the implementation of an ERP solution and BI solution.

 

 

Education and/or Experience

BS Degree in Accounting and CPA.  3+ years experience in public accounting, preferably from the Big 4 and 5+ years experience in private industry in a financial reporting/analysis related position.  Candidate should have an in-depth understanding developing analyses, Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), preparing financial statements and footnotes, and exposure to SEC Rules & Regulations.

 

Computer Skills

Must have intermediate MS Word and MS Outlook, and advanced skills in MS Excel.  Experience with Access or ACL is a plus.

 

Other Skills

Must be highly organized and possess the ability to meet deadlines. Must have a solid understanding of data analysis.
