Senior Manager of Tax Accounting

Our client, an Atlanta-based Fortune 200 company, is seeking a Senior Manager of Tax Accounting. The position is located at their corporate headquarters in Atlanta and reports to the Director of Tax Accounting. This client is a well established and dynamic tax department that is known for having some of the best and brightest tax talent in Atlanta.  Relocation assistance is available.  This position offers unlimited growth with an exceptional quality of life.Overview of responsibilities:Manage all aspects of external tax reporting for the company and ensure compliance with all GAAP and SEC income tax accounting requirements Evaluate tax planning initiatives Ensure compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley requirements Represent and defend the Company’s tax accounting positions with its external auditors  Manage the forecast and modeling of tax provision computations Supervise, train and develop the tax accounting team Job Requirements: Minimum requirements include a Bachelors Degree in Accounting and CPA. Thorough working knowledge of FASB Statement 109 and broad understanding of general accounting principles Extensive experience in large corporate tax environment, Big 4 accounting firm or similar Strong communication, analytical, and problem solving skills.
