Our Plano, TX location is currently seeking a Senior Real Estate Analyst in our Property Tax Group.Responsibilities: Maintain real estate information in property files and computer systemAnalyze real estate value notices for possible appeals Develop an Opinion of Value using appropriate real estate valuation techniquesFile appeals and negotiate value settlementsAttend formal and informal hearings and present evidence supporting value positions as well as support clients in litigation efforts Proactively seek all possible value reductions and tax savingsCommunicate with clients regarding assessed values and property tax accrualsThoroughly understand and follow office procedures to effectively manage tax administration needs Communicate and coordinate real estate tax management efforts with other employees to completely satisfy all of our client’s tax management needsIdentify possible new areas of service to provide to existing clients and additionally, assist in the sales and marketing efforts to create new businessSupervise staff as needed Accurately analyze and discuss real estate values with assessors and clients and present arguments in an effective mannerSome travel requiredRequirements: Background or knowledge in assessments, real estate appraisal and value settlement/negotiations are essentialAbility to communicate with clients at all levels of their organization is essential Prior assessment, appraisal, and accounting experienceDegree in accounting or related fieldDesignations or Licenses as required by appropriate states Interested in another Duff and Phelps practice or office?
