Senior Real Estate Underwriter

 This role requires a consistently proactive professional active in areas underwriting assets for  purchase. Applicant should be able to value assets, maintain updated portfolio valuations, and assist in all areas of accounting and underwriting. We value strong phone skills, excellent closing skills, professional written and verbal communication, attention to detail and the ability to thrive in a fast paced, deadline-oriented environment. The ideal candidate will have prior commerical real estate experience. Our Company is a vertically integrated,  full service commercial real estate investment trust that purchases multi-tenanted office buildings in the Washington, DC Metropolitan Area. 



Candidate Profile - Education: BS or BA, preferably with a business (accounting or finance) major (MBA or CPA preferred).  Five years minimum real estate experience required. Candidate should be self motivated, possess strong communication skills, have solid problem solving aptitude, be persistent and professional. Individual should have the ability to work cohesively in a team environment as well as independently.

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

l. Underwrite new deals through the use of Argus and Excel while executing on closings.
 
2. Develop and maintain current valuations of the Company's portfolio

 

3. Work closely with the accounting department as well as senior management
