Contract Billing Manager

Job Description

 

The Senior Revenue Accountant  is responsible for the timely, complete and accurate billing of the Company’s services.  This includes not only billing for contracted cases rates (Hospital & Managed Care) but also for amounts due as the result of procedures performed by contracted/employed physicians.  These objectives are intended to be accomplished by the proper and thoughtful deployment of staff as well as through the use of technology tools available.  Exceptional Word & Excel skills are vital.

 

The Contract Billing Manager reports to the Accounting Manager and has billing associates reporting.

 

Specifics include, but not limited to:

 

Managed Care

  Assure the timely billing of managed care activities.

  Manage the collection and cash application associated with managed care.

 

Hospital contracts

  Manage the monthly billing of all hospital contracts.

  Insure timely collection of all amounts due from hospital contracts.

  Investigate and resolve all deductions taken by client hospitals.

 

Bonuses and guarantees

  Insure timely invoicing of all performance incentive invoices

  Manage the invoicing of all guarantees associated with all contracts

  Insure prompt payment by customers of bonus and guarantees.

 

Outsourced Billing companies

Manage the timely reporting by outsourced billing companies in conjunction with customer and internal requirements.

Reconcile & analyze unposted professional collections by market

Manage initiation of reimbursement of professional refunds.

  Review and approve all billing company invoices to the Company.

 

Reimbursement collection reporting

  Manage data associated with analytical reporting around reimbursement.

Provide monthly analytical reporting on a timely basis consistent with organizational requirements.

 

Physician compensation

Manage the generation and timely review of all MD compensation reporting (2 markets where MDs aren’t employed).

  Respond to MD inquiries around payments
