Senior Staff Accountant

FOX Racing Shox is a leading designer and manufacturer of high end suspension products for mountain bikes, all terrain vehicles (ATV’s), snowmobiles, and other off-road vehicles. Fox is a tier one supplier to leading bicycle original equipment manufacturers (OEMs), sells in the aftermarket to specialty bike retailers, supplies suspension products to ATV and snowmobile OEMs, and to off-road distributors

Position Scope: The Senior Staff Accountant will streamline the accounting processes to gain efficiency and timeliness while ensuring the integrity of accounting information. This will be accomplished by recording, verifying, consolidating and entering transactions in compliance with GAAP.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

 

- Account reconciliations

- Variance analysis

- Financial statement preparation

- Processing of sales tax returns

- Accrued liability reports

- Maintaining fixed asset records

- Assist with monthly close

- Various review of accruals

- G/L postings

- J/E preparation

- Assist in both internal and external auditors during quarterly/annual audit process

- Assist in general accounting activities and special projects as needed

 

Qualifications:

 

The successful candidate will have an undergraduate degree in accounting plus a minimum of 5 years experience of G/L accounting experience in a manufacturing environment. Also must possess:

 

- Strong knowledge of GAAP

- Excellent organizational, analytical and communication skills

- Advanced knowledge of MS Office specifically Excel

- Advanced knowledge of finance and accounting software (Epicor Vantage, MS FRx a plus)

- Detail-oriented and deadline driven mentality

- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks

- Cost Accounting experience within a manufacturing environment a plus
