Position Overview:

The Senior Staff Accountant is responsible for daily cash management and reporting, coordination of the monthly financial close, variance analysis, internal financial reporting & distribution, cable affiliations tracking & reporting, intercompany balancing, quarterly and yearly external audit support, unclaimed property reporting, governmental reporting, backup for fixed asset management reporting and account reconciliations and analysis.

Essential Functions:

Principle Accountabilities & Authorities:

Daily cash management and reporting.

Coordination of monthly financial close.

Cable affiliations reporting & tracking.

Intercompany balancing.

Governmental reporting.

External audit support.

Variance analysis.

Financial reporting & distribution.

Miscellaneous receivable reporting.

Account reconciliations.

Other Financial projects as requested.

Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Education:

Bachelor's Degree (B.A.)

Experience:

CPA license recommended.

2 - 4 years in cash management, general ledger and financial reporting.

Working knowledge of general ledger software – Oracle financials recommended.

Thorough knowledge of desktop software packages: MS Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, etc.

Retail experience.

Experience in a company with $100M+ in sales.
