Senior Staff Accountant/CPA

JOB DESCRIPTION:

1.       Prepare daily sales reports and daily cash report;

 

 

2.       Integral participant in the month-end close process, Preparing journal entries, accruals and reconciliations for various accounts, including payroll, fixed assets, and accrued marketing;

 

 

3.       Prepare account reconciliations using analytical and problem solving skills to investigate, understand and communicate discrepancies;

 

 

4.       Ensure proper sales cut-off at quarter-end;

 

 

5.       Develop and maintain accurate accounting controls and procedures;

 

 

6.       Insure compliance with GAAP;

 

 

7.       Collect and prepare documents required for external audits;

 

 

8.       Assist in analysis on monthly financial statements;

 

 

9.       Act as backup for various financial reporting process and special projects, as necessary.

 

 

REQUIRED SKILLS:

 

1.       Excellent computer skills including:

 

 

    a)      MS Office (Outlook, Word, and advanced skills in Excel)

 

 

    b)      Experience with ERP accounting software packages a plus

 

 

2.       Good written, verbal and interpersonal skills;

 

3.   Must be able to manage and prioritize multiple priorities;

 

 

4.       Must be able to interact well in a team environment.

 

 

EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATIONS:

 

1.     Active CPA or applicant who has passed CPA exam,

        awaiting certification hours preferred.

 

 

2.       BS in Accounting/Finance

 

3.       Minimum 4 years of experience in Accounting required
