Senior Tax Accountant

An international leader in the insurance industry for over 40 years is seeking a senior tax professional. This position is located in the growing community of Cedar Rapids, Iowa. The opportunity will offer variety within multiple tax disciplines and great growth potential.

Responsibilities of this position include: Preparation and/or review of tax return filings on a federal, state and local level Research tax issues, analyzes applicable tax laws, suggests alternatives or new practices and documents conclusions Offer leadership, training and direction to staff Leads or participates on project teams This opportunity offers exposure to multiple tax entities including federal and state compliance, federal and international tax planning, tax investment reporting and tax provision accounting. This position requires substantial experience in at least one tax specialty. The successful candidate will have an Accounting degree with a minimum of 5 to 8 years of public accounting or large corporate income tax experience. CPA is preferred. Leadership and communication skills are sought.
