Because of our focus on sophisticated financial services clients, you’ll have the opportunity to work with some of the largest investment funds in the world In this role you will: Oversee day-to-day operations of a growing department currently made up of 20 professionals responsible for tax reporting for over 600 investment partnerships and related entities; Manage significant client relationships including some of the most prominent institutional fund sponsors in the industry; Demonstrate an advanced understanding of financial instruments and alternative investment tax concepts and effectively apply that knowledge to client situations; Provide clients with tax guidance and planning; Review Schedules K1, Partnership tax returns and related tax filings; Direct and develop staff; Meet with prospective clients and help win new business; Conduct technical tax research and determine firm policy regarding tax reporting issues; Interface with senior management and other members of client service teams; Handle various additional tax consulting services specific to hedge funds and other investments partnerships.   Candidates should have a BS in Accounting or related major;  CPA and / or advanced degree in Taxation or Law;  Minimum of 12 years relevant public or private tax experience;  Demonstrated ability to manage a significant tax practice; Proficiency in the areas of federal and state taxation with respect to investment partnerships and other alternative investment vehicles; Expertise in the area of tax compliance; including partnership federal and state tax return review ; Ability to lead and supervise staff, through effective management, while working on multiple projects simultaneously.   Send resumes to annmarie.decandia@ajilon.com  Salary/Pay Rate: up to $450K TOTAL COMP!!!!!
