RTI International is seeking an outgoing and dynamic individual who is driven toward success to expand the business through market penetration and building client relationships.  He/she must be experienced in understanding customer priorities and developing and maintaining relationships across a broad spectrum of stakeholders. A successful candidate will be able to direct evaluations of real estate with a strategic vision of future development opportunities for surplus or idle industrial and commercial properties.

 

Responsibilities:

• Real estate analysis and management under the various laws and regulations governing real estate transactions
• Development of legacy industrial properties, property transfers, working closely with deal teams to maximize environmental, social, and economic benefits for our clients
• Methods for assessing market value and financial outcomes of real estate transactions
• Transaction details related to divesting of legacy industrial properties and monitoring long-term stewardship obligations (e.g., deed restrictions, institutional controls)
• Impacts of development in economic development zones and other local community economic development programs
• Financial incentives for developing industrial properties (e.g., TIFs)
• Knowledge of the applicable regulatory programs particularly as they relate to environmentally challenged properties.
• Knowledge of real estate investment and real estate development firms and markets.

 

Qualifications:

• Broad technical skills to understand and develop work in real estate analysis. 
• Proven management and leadership skills are necessary. Candidates must have a demonstrable track record developing and managing client relationships in consulting engagements, preferably in the private sector.
• This individual must be able to work with professionals across a wide array of disciplines to establish effective project teams focused on solving complex real estate portfolio analysis using RTI proprietary Web-based software systems.
• Professional degree in business or economic development related to real estate investment or development
• Experience with environmentally impaired real estate
• 10 years of relevant experience.
