Sr. Accountant

L.B. White Company has an exciting opportunity for an energetic, self-motivated Senior Accountant.  This position reports directly to the CFO and will work closely with operations, engineering and marketing to provide detailed financial analyses and recommendations to support the business.

 

Based in Onalaska, Wisconsin, L.B. White Company is one of the world’s leading manufacturers and marketers of propane, natural gas and kerosene heaters for agricultural, construction, tent and greenhouse environments.

Key responsibilities of the Senior Accountant position include, but are not limited to:

·  Proactive leadership and management of the company’s standard costing system.

·  Preparation of timely and accurate financial statements, and assistance in financial planning activities.

·  Hands on management of general ledger close related activities, including journal entries and month-end account reconciliations.

The successful candidate will have a bachelor’s degree in Accounting and a minimum of 4 years professional experience in accounting, finance or related field.  Professional experience should include at least 2 years in a durable goods manufacturing environment, along with a working knowledge of ERP systems, and experience with standard costing systems.  Strong analytical skills and solid oral and written communication skills are required.  CMA, CPA and/or MBA considered a plus.

The compensation package will consist of a competitive base salary determined, in part, by the successful candidate's level of professional experience.  The successful candidate will qualify for participation in the Company’s management incentive program, as well as, the Company-wide Incentive program.
