Sr. Accountant/Sr. Financial Analyst

A technology-based provider of energy and technology products, systems and services.  They build continued success from strengths in pioneering technology.   Operations in North America are headquartered on the east coast employing more than 10,000 people in manufacturing and other facilities across the US.  Globally the company employs more than 90,000 people in 50+ countries.  Consider working for this company to be part of a growing department that is planning for 20+ employees over the next year.  Join early for advancement opportunities with your career in accounting and finance.    Senior Accountant/Sr. Financial Analyst  Position Description: Performing full-scope accounting and finance functions Primary Responsibilities:   Responsible for all general accounting and reporting for a specified division.  Primary contact for controllers within their respective division.  Supporting conversion of SAP develop their plan for supporting the division Reporting and analysis of data related to financial transactions of the business Preparing and recording accounting journal entries Account reconciliations will be performed monthly with periodic reviews with the controllers.  This role will be involved with both internal and external audit processes.  Continual goal of process improvement, Selecting and designing techniques to ensure optimal analysis of financial elements. Support: staff, managers and business unitsEducation/Licenses/Certification Required: Bachelor's degree in accounting - required.  An MBA/CPA is a plus. Experience/Special Skills Required: 3 to 5 years of experience in corporate accounting role.  US GAAP & knowledge of HFM (Hyperion), SAP & SOX (Sarbanes Oxley) - required.  Proven ability to interface professionally with all levels of the organization Demonstrated a commitment to customer focus support Process improvement, with specific examples Inter-company transactions are a plus. Reports to: Director of General Accounting & Reporting  Built on more than 30 years of expertise, The Mergis Group is a specialty recruiting firm committed to helping professionals make the best career choices.
