And we welcome anyone who shares our commitment to ingenuity and excellence.EOE/AA Employer Under general supervision and following established procedures will assist Facility Management (FM) account finance team and business management in preparing both internal JCI and customer monthly accounting and financial reporting packages as required for the FM account site.  PRINCIPAL DUTIES: Prepares journal entries as they relate to project revenues, expenses, and accruals and assists in other month-end closing activities. Reviews accumulated labor, fringe benefit, and material purchase detail for appropriateness to contract provisions prior to billing. Prepares billings to customer in accordance with terms and conditions of assigned contracts and distributes to customers in an accurate and timely manner. Runs reports as requested or needed to support business operations. Assists O&M operations staff and customers in resolving costing/billing issues in a timely manner. Assists O&M operations staff in budget preparation for accounting and financial planning purposes. Completes tasks as assigned relating to audit activities. May assist in the preparation of schedules, or cost reports such as trial balances, balance sheets, income statements, and profit and loss statements. Must be a team player committed to working in a quality environment and willing to perform any other non-specific job related duties as requested.Associate degree in Accounting or Business or equivalent.  Minimum of five years of accounting related experience.  Proficiency with MS Excel and other MS Office tools is required.  Knowledge of Oracle, Hyperion and/or other relational databases is a plus.  Strong attention to detail and good communication skills.
