Sr. Billing Analyst

Reporting to the Director of Billing, you'll be apart of a team that is growing tremendously, as we redesign the way our billing group does their job. You will join the finance and accounting team in our Reston, Virginia headquarters. You'll assume ownership of specific client airline accounts, and we will look to you to establish and administer uniform billing procedures across all operating units who service those airlines to achieve greater accuracy and efficiency throughout the process. 

Each airline is very specific and unique in its processes, including how it does business with us. The challenge is simple, yet not necessarily easy: find the most effective and efficient ways for us to operate while satisfying their requirements so that our receivables are collected as quickly as possible. You will have the support of Junior Billing Analysts; at the same time, you'll need a solid understanding of how everything runs in order to train our people from an operational standpoint in computer billing and related tasks. Similarly, you'll use this knowledge to proactively minimize our billing issues and ensure the timeliness of billing payments received by:

 Performing detailed billing reviews by examining and comparing: scheduled service vs. billed service, published boarding ratios vs. actual provisioning, charge breakout detail vs. unit boarding specifications, our prices vs. customer prices, standby billings and reconciliations for applicable airlines, correct service charge application, communications procedures between dispatch and billing, and more; Maintaining a strong relationship and excellent communication with your assigned airline; Ensuring customer inquiries are handled expeditiously; Partnering with your assigned airline, their Account Executives, our units, the Collections/Credit Department, and our European and Latin American operations to identify our common problems and limit the frequency and volume of deductions; Working closely with the Pricing Department and our customers to monitor and interpret any changes to airline specifications; and Finding new ways to improve our systems and process.

 

Qualifications:3+ years of billing experience. Experience in the airline industry is preferred, but not necessary. Solid understanding of electronic billing. Strong analytical and operational finance skills. Dedication and an exceptional work ethic. Proficiency with MS Excel and Word. Bachelors degreeFundamental understanding of SAP. Bilingual candidates (English/Spanish) a HUGE plus.
