Sr Business Analyst.Financial Systems & Analysis
POSITION PROFILE Performs a lead role in the elicitation and implementation of business requirements and improvements, including analysis, operational implementation, and business process documentation and development. Collaborates with cross-functional teams, end users, operations, planning and analysis, and other analysts and internal customers to conduct business requirements gathering, planning, and analysis, and identifies any required changes. Gathers, analyzes, specifies, and communicates requirements for business processes. Defines and analyzes business goals, objectives, needs, processes, and requirements for business changes. Develops and recommends operational processes and/or process improvements. Suggests areas for improvement in internal processes along with possible solutions. JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Performs activities including analysis, implementation, and process documentation and development. Quickly identifies and understands business issues and data challenges. Knowledge of emerging business practices when solving business problems. Works with cross-functional teams to conduct business requirements gathering, planning, and analysis, and identifies any required changes. Defines and analyzes business goals, objectives, needs, processes, and requirements for changes. Develops and recommends operational processes and/or process improvements. Suggests areas for improvement in internal processes along with possible solutions. Reviews and edits requirements, specifications, business processes, and recommendations related to proposed solutions. Identifies internal strengths and weaknesses and suggests areas of improvement and recommends enhancements, development, and/or business process changes. Works with cross-functional teams to maximize opportunities in process automation. Consistently delivers high quality services to customers and continually seeks opportunities to increase customer satisfaction and deepen customer relationships. Develops relationships with internal customers that foster customer ties. Communicates effectively with customers through informative and well-organized written documentation or meetings to identify needs and changes and evaluates alternative business solutions with management. Ability to exchange information with business and technical customers at all levels. Conducts effective project progress analysis in a timely manner to meet deadlines and schedules. Ensures issues are identified, tracked, reported on and resolved in a timely manner. Develops functional specifications and system design specifications. Proactively seeks opportunities to serve in leadership roles. Leads and directs the work of individuals and cross-functional teams to drive business planning, analysis, and strategies. Plans for and participates in testing. Understands how legacy and web-based systems interface with each other. Provides ad hoc reporting support on demand. Performs other duties and special projects as assigned. QUALIFICATIONS (Education, Experience and Certifications) BBA in Accounting or Finance with 5 years experience in Finance and/or Accounting. Requires proficient computer skills. Hands-on experience in Oracle 11.03 and 11i Financial Applications, Oracle Discoverer, FrontPage 2000 and a basic knowledge of SQL query tools, Microsoft applications such as Excel, Word, Access DB, SmartFTP.
