Sr. Collections Specialist

 

Family owned-and-operated for more than fifty years, Rem Eyewear, located in the North-Burbank area, is seeking an experienced, high-energy, Collections team member. REM Eyewear has been serving more than 60 nations, and is a fast growing and well respected leading designer and distributor of fashion eyewear.

 

The ideal candidate should have a minimum of 5+ years experience in both Collections and Customer Service.  Must be proficient with Microsoft Excel.  Other critical attributes include written and verbal communication skills, follow up skills, multi-tasking, and the ability to contribute to making a successful team in a growing and changing environment.

 

POSITION SUMMARY:

 

The Collection team reports to a manager who in turn reports to the Chief Financial Officer.  All persons on the team including management would be responsible for:

a)  Ensuring assigned company accounts are kept current and that there is full communication pertaining to any problem issues with the sales representatives, the company’s sales executives, customer service and department heads. 

b)  Responding to all requests from customers resolving their issues and needs in a timely manner resulting in a high level of customer satisfaction.

c) Setting up new customer accounts requested, accurately and timely securing appropriate credit, sales tax, etc. information to build the account so customer’s orders can be immediately processed.

 EDUCATION/TRAINING:

Required –  Degree preferred but need to have a minimum of 5 yrs extensive previous collections and customer service experience.
