Sr. Cost Accountant / Cost Analyst

Objective

 

Performs specialized cost accounting and financial analysis functions for the Supply Chain Finance department of TMaG. Primary focus will be on manufacturing accounting and analysis, inventory reporting and analysis, general financial analysis, as well as process and system development and improvement.  Reports to Cost Accounting Manager.

 Major Initiatives

 

· Stabilize and monitor cycle count programs at all Taylormade sites in the US.

· Develop internal control processes and procedures.

· Create and maintain a monitoring system to ensure the accuracy of inventory financial results and COS variances.

· Establish open communications between Operations, IT, Accounting and Supply Chain Finance.

· Support SAP blue-printing phase as required.

 

Job Description

 

· Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for all electronic transaction processing.

· Develop and perform audits to test the accuracy of transactions processed by the various systems.

· Assess solutions for changes or enhancements to systems and processes and lead or participate in implementation.

· Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for all policies and procedures as they relate to processing inventory and inventory related transactions as well as COS variances.

· Continually evaluate policies and procedures to ensure that the processes related to inventory and COS variances are appropriate.

· Perform regular audits to ensure timely, accurate and consistent reporting of financial results.

· Interpret and analyze results relating to inventory transactions and book to perpetual variances.

· Create and regularly produce reports for management that present accounting results for inventory and manufacturing accounting as well as COS variance related transactions.

· Reconcile all general ledger accounts to their related perpetual inventory detail on a monthly basis.

· Manage all physical inventory counts.

· Interface with all departments of the Company to identify, troubleshoot and resolve inventory as well as COS variance related problems.

 Requirements

 

· Bachelor of Science in Business with emphasis in Finance & Accounting, with 4 to 6 years of professional experience and proven track record in cost accounting and/or FP&A. 

· Proficiency with computing systems and the ability to quickly learn new systems.

· Experience with Oracle, Business Objects, MfgPro, Comfil; advanced skills in Excel and Access; TM1 and SAP experience desirable

· Ability to work independently while coordinating activities across many functional areas.

· Advanced data reporting and analysis skills.

· Project management experience.

· Advanced flowcharting and written documentation skills.

· Highly motivated self starter.

· Excellent prioritization and organizational skills.

· Team player with excellent verbal and written communication skills.

· Ability to work in a dynamic environment.

· Interest in/understanding of Golf products and business.
