Currently searching for a Sr. Corporate Cost Analyst to join our Accounting department.  The Sr. Cost Analyst is responsible for providing the financial and operational accounting support to the Vice President of Operations and their staff, including reviewing, analyzing and reporting on inventory valuation, inventory transactions, direct and indirect labor, direct material and subcontract costs, and other overhead costs incurred in the operational segment. The individual will also work with operations management to design and prepare financial and operational analysis reports used to monitor organizational performance and ensure continuous operational improvement. Essential Job Functions include but are not limited to part costing, establishing and maintaining frozen standard costs for purchased and manufactured parts. Will monitor average actual cost calculations for purchased and manufactured parts, measure and investigate variances between frozen standard and average actual cost, coordinate development of cost improvement programs with operational management. Will also coordinate development of inventory efficiency / reduction programs using lean concepts, and review and analyze incurred cost transactions.   Minimum Qualifications include knowledge of GAAP, experience with computerized manufacturing operations and financial systems, Strong Excel skills and sound attention to detail and strong analytical skills. B.S. / B.A. degree in Accounting or other related field. Five years related work experience preferably in a manufacturing or highly engineered product environment. Experience in aerospace and/or government contracting a plus.
