Sr Financial Analyst Business Decision

Come join a winning team!  We are Tampa's largest Hospital and ranked in the top 50 across the USA.  We are seeking a Sr Financial Analyst to work in our Business Decision Finance department.  Our Financial Analyst will be able to asssist with coordination of the Capital and Operating Budget for the organization. Develops and conducts Budget Training. Acts as a liaison with management during the Budget process. Supports preparation of the annual AHCA report. Cross trained for the error correction process for quarterly AHCA/SIP data submissions. Facilitates completion and QA review of surveys for outside agencies, vendors and 3rd parties. Participate in month end close activities as required. Facilitate and coordinate the update of cost standards and cost allocation process. Primary resource supporting maintenance and administration of EPSi decision support system including: budget set up, costing maintenance, productivity, custom report design, development and maintenance, PLA and Costing maintenance, cross trained on data loading and applicable reconciliations, serve as EPSi resource for end users. Premier reporting resource for department. Coordinates/participates in financial analysis, product line analysis, SOC’s (Service Outcome Cost Studies), labor productivity analyses and special projects as needed. Leverage EPSi for financial reporting, ad hoc department requests, data needs and related analyses. Oversees the development/enhancement of applications, tools and software within the department. Reports to the Manager of Budget & Decision Support

REQUIREMENTS:

Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business or Accounting is required, prefer Master’s degree in Finance, Business or Accounting. 6-8 yrs experience in healthcare with Microsoft Excel and Access experience is required, prefer EPSi/TSI/Trendstar/Decision Support Systems. Effective communication skills including small and large groups and individually. Detail oriented with excellent analytical and quantitative skills. Good project management skills with ability to handle diverse workload and competing priorities. Comfortable in team environment with changing priorities and time pressures. Decision support, operational and capital budgeting, productivity and financial reporting skills. Advanced experience in application of PC tools – Excel and Access. Excellent customer service skills.
