Sr Joint Interest Accountant

A Houston company in the energy industry is seeking a Sr. Joint Interest Accountant.  The responsibilities of associated with this position are as follows: Assisting Land Department in setup of new/revised joint interest billing decks Reviewing & approving monthly LOE, Boat & Helicopter allocations & accruals Reviewing & approving monthly producing, drilling & construction overhead charges Conducting monthly joint interest billing close Preparing various general ledger journal entries & retroactive adjustments Reviewing and posting A/P vouchers Reviewing and approving monthly insurance journal entries Preparing annual allocation of insurance premiums from corporate office Responding to working interest owners inquiries and requests Conducting activities for JIB A/R Collections Reviewing and approving monthly JIB cash applications Preparing general ledger account reconciliations and supporting schedules Monitor SOX control compliance and work with internal and external auditors Performing payout accounting Coordinating joint venture audits as assigned Other duties and responsibilities as assigned by Property Accounting Manager.
