Sr. Manager, Payroll (HRO) - Tax Division Sr. Manager, Payroll (HRO) - Tax Division responsibilities include: This position manages the activities of the payroll office for Convergys and its customers to ensure accurate and timely paychecks, tax returns and remittances to government agencies so that no interest or penalties are assessed, and to coordinate the special handling of international assignments for expatriates. This position also maintains the payroll and personnel systems to ensure correct processing of the payroll data. Will be responsible for working with the client and implementation teams to determine the best solution, design of those solutions as well as the implementation of that solution. Once implementation has been complete, candidate would be responsible for the ongoing day-to-day management of all areas of the payroll tax operations team. May require extensive travel during early stages of the implementation. After ''go-live'' travel requirements will reduce. Handles payroll inquiries from staff. Responsible for selecting, training, developing, and managing performance of direct reports in area of specialty; and mentoring, coordinating, planning, and providing direction for work group(s) in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable legal requirements.Requirements Please review Sr. Manager Payroll (HRO) Tax Division requirements before applying  Bachelor’s degree in Business Management or equivalent from a four-year college or university. Five to seven years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.Above average knowledge of payroll systems.Thorough knowledge of tax regulations in regards to withholding and payment of taxes and tax returns for federal, state, and local governments. Good communication skills. Prefer experience with SAP, PeopleSoft or ADP payroll platforms Must have proficiency with various software applications programs including Lotus Notes, Microsoft Word, and Excel. Knowledge of general ledger accounting procedures relating to cash flow through the accounts.
