Sr. Manager, Revenue Assurance and Financial Reporting

We wish to supplement our accounting team with a strong leader in revenue and technical accounting competencies. Since we are a fast growing business, this is a high visibility role, interacting closely with business partners and management across multiple product lines and geographies on revenue recognition, as well as, technical accounting issues, and financial reporting. Duties and Responsibilities:
• Assume leadership role for revenue reporting function that results in accurate and timely accounting of revenue in the financial statements in accordance with US Generally Accepted Accounting Principles.
• Provide leadership, development and application of consistent revenue recognition rules and assist in documenting accounting guidance for Align's revenue generating activities on a global basis across varied business models, product lines and distribution channels with specific references to SAB 101/104, EITF 00-21, and EITF 01-09.
• Be a key technical and operational resource capable of evaluating business objectives and researching accounting literature to provide the appropriate accounting guidance to corporate groups, such as, Sales Operations, Marketing, and other groups.
• Work collaboratively with IT, general accounting, and other groups to oversee the development, implementation and execution of a billing and revenue system, including defining the accounting requirements for various multiple element arrangements and related promotions.
• Oversee the preparation of the Company's SEC filings, including the 10-K, 10-Q and other filings.
• Ensure on-going compliance with Sarbanes Oxley 404 requirements for revenue accounting and external filings.
• Coordinate with internal audit for SOX walkthroughs and testing, and external auditors during quarterly reviews and annual audits.
• Manage the activities and career development of 2-3 staff members by maintaining open and clear communication, and providing a positive and challenging team environment. Education and Experience:
• BS degree in Accounting or equivalent is required.
• Certified Public Accountant with an "active" status preferred.
• 7-10+ years of progressive experience with publicly held companies.
• SEC reporting experience preferred.
• At least 5 years of experience in a management role.
• Prior and recent experience evaluating technical accounting literature, and familiarity with revenue recognition pronouncements.
• Excellent coaching and mentorship abilities with staff.
• Outstanding communication, collaborative and influencing skills.
