Sr. Payroll Coordinator

JOB DESCRIPTION:Here is your opportunity to work as a Sr. Payroll Coordinator for an exceptional integrated service company offering engineering, construction and maintenance to a broad range of energy related industries.  As an industry leader for over 40 years our company provides an exponentially growing environment thriving on it's team like atmosphere and it's long term alliances with a wide range of clients including many Fortune 100 companies. As the Sr. Payroll Coordinator you will be responsible for payroll taxes and related compliance reporting in a multi-state environment and responding to payroll-related information requests. This person will oversee payroll quality assurance processes and controls throughout the organization and will also train and support field time keepers and payroll personnel in the use of payroll software applications and procedures. REQUIREMENTS:The position requires 5-10 years experience as a Payroll Administrator or similar role with responsibility for payroll production for 1,000 or more employees, preferably in a construction / engineering / job cost environment. Demonstrated expertise with California wage hour laws and payroll compliance regulations  A strong I.T. applications orientation is also required and the successful candidate will have prior experience in the set up, operation and providing user support of payroll software applications and using end-user reporting and query tools such as Oracle Discoverer or Crystal Reports.
